If you were hoping to find a detailed curriculum vitae, you won’t find that here; this is a casual website. But I will share something about my background, personality, passions, and what drives me.

My background is in electrical engineering. I’ve also completed continuing education programs in corporate leadership and business contract law at St. Petersburg College and Eckerd College. Problem-solving is my jam. I’m also very interested in strategy and I like being surrounded by and collaborating with creative people. I enjoy learning and sharing information. I find deep satisfaction in developing a team and encouraging others to reveal their innate talents, then encouraging our team to elevate each other toward reaching a common goal. There is nothing more rewarding to me than to stand back and say: “Look what we did together!”.

I try to use this passion to my advantage in work and community life. I believe goals are achieved with a professional, well-strategized, collaborative approach. I have a strong tie to my community and the city I live. I participate earnestly in different aspects of our city, and I work closely with others to try to shape it in ways that meet the desires of the community, as well as the holistic economic needs for our future. I thrive on change. To quote Mr. Belichick: “To live in the past is to die in the present.” 

I feel real solutions should include a diverse set of stakeholders. I prefer to get out and make changes the way they should be done: in the real world, through face-to-face collaboration, discussion, empathy, understanding, compromise, and negotiation.

As a director for a medical/surgical device manufacturer, I’m grateful to be a small part of the leadership team that has developed the organization to surpass $1B in annual revenue as of 2021. This was accomplished, in part, by assembling and enabling teams to streamline and modernize business processes. I’m also a small business owner, Dunedin Dynamics, Inc., developing technology to help other businesses succeed with niche custom solutions that conquer specific challenges. I have been married for 23 years. Our only child is a Rhodesian Ridgeback, Rüger.
